Tournament Information
Erina Kikuchi and Krysty Marcio at the Kaelin/Diadora USTA 10K TournamentVan Der Meer Tennis Academy players are encouraged to participate in as many tournaments as possible. Fall and spring recommended tournament outlines are prepared and players along with Academy coaches determine which tournaments are the most appropriate for each player to enter. Select tournaments are attended by groups of players accompanied by coaches for training and chaperoning purposes. Players may also travel to additional tournaments independently. During the course of the training year there are several tournaments offered locally on Hilton Head Island as well.
Upon enrollment, boarding players are required to establish a tournament account. From this account entry fees and all tournament related expenses are paid. Expenses include but are not limited to airfare and/or vehicle rental, gas, hotel, and coaching fee. When a group travels to a tournament, several of these expenses are shared.
